Things are apparently still unpleasant between Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife, who has reportedly filed new accusations that the Miami Heat star is a negligent father.
Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, the mother of Wade's sons Zion, 5, and Zaire, 10, alleges in child custody court documents that Wade deprived the the boys of crucial medication by failing to obtain asthma inhalers or nebulizer machines, according to TMZ.
Funches-Wade said in filings that Wade "recklessly failed to provide… any medication for a life-threatening illness," the site reports. Read the full story at TMZ.com.
The former high school sweethearts separated in 2007, setting off a bitter and bloody three-year divorce battle that even saw Funches-Wade file suit against Wade's new girlfriend, actress Gabrielle Union, for emotional distress. A judge dismissed the lawsuit, and in 2011 Wade was eventually awarded full custody of the kids with Funches-Wade allowed scheduled visitation. In their final divorce judgment, a Chicago court scolded Funches-Wade for "unstoppable and relentless conduct for over two years to alienate the children from their father."
Last June, Funches-Wade was arrested on attempted kidnapping charges after a delay returning the boys to their father. A few months later Wade released his memoir "A Father First," outlining his relationship with his sons and his lengthy divorce battle.
