Dylann Roof Spotted In Victim's Last Snapchat, Sent From Charleston Church

Church Shooting Victim's Last Snapchat Included Shooter

Moments before a shooter opened fire on Tywanza Sanders' Bible study group in Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, on Wednesday night, Sanders shared a short video with his followers on Snapchat.

The brief clip, which Mashable confirmed as authentic with four of Sanders' friends, shows a group of people seated at table along with the caption, "Bible study knowledge planter." As the camera pans around the room, a solitary white face is seen at the far end of the table.

CNN reports that man is Dylann Roof, the alleged shooter, who spent an hour seated in the prayer meeting before pulling out a gun and killing nine people.

Sanders, aged 26, was the youngest victim. He had recently graduated with a degree in business from Allen University, where he'd developed a reputation as "a warm and helpful spirit" who was "quiet, well known" and "committed to his education," a statement from the university said.

His last post on Instagram prominently featured a quote from Jackie Robinson: "A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives."
