Hilarious 'Dawson's Creek' Post Pops Up On Congressman's Facebook Page

The angsty teenage drama of "Dawson's Creek" still keeps Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) up at night.

At least that's what his followers deduced after the congressman took to Facebook on Friday to express his displeasure with a particular scene in the late-'90s television show.

According to the Portland Mercury, the post disappeared from Blumenauer's Facebook page a few minutes after it was posted.

A spokesman for Blumenauer on Saturday confirmed the post was real and explained that it was made in error.

"It was a post made accidentally on the Congressman's page, not by the Congressman," Patrick Malone told The Huffington Post.

For those needing a refresher -- and in honor of the Katie Holmes aficionado on Blumenauer's staff who likely got a talking to -- here's a portion of the scene in question.
