But research into our eating behavior shows that there are actually a number of easy ways to curb mindless eating.

Most recently, a study published in PloS One found that the simple act of taking smaller sips (and, they extrapolated, perhaps smaller bites) could reduce overall consumption by as much as 30 percent.
