PHOTOS: 'Ring Of Fire' Solar Eclipse As Seen From San Francisco

Assuming you woke up from a post-Bay to Breakers nap on Sunday, then just after 5:00 p.m. your eyes feasted upon the rare and amazing annular eclipse that graced the skies of northern California.

The eclipse occurred when 85 percent of the sun was covered by the moon, leaving a brilliant "ring of fire" effect.

If you happened to miss the phenomenon, you're a little out of luck. The United States won't see another one for five years, when a a total solar eclipse will completely block out the sun on August 21, 2017.
