Because the category includes TV series, TV movie and miniseries actors, the nominees were wide-ranging. Harris beat out Max Greenfield ("New Girl"), Danny Huston ("Magic City"), Mandy Patinkin ("Homeland") and Eric Stonestreet ("Modern Family") for his work in "Game Change." This is Harris' sixth Golden Globe nomination and second win. He took home a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie in 1999 for his performance in "The Truman Show."

Harris was not on hand to accept the awards and some "Homeland" fans were upset Patinkin didn't take home the award.

The 2013 Golden Globes were handed out at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA. Nominees Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the ceremony on Sunday, January 13, which was broadcast on NBC.
