Ed Schultz, Karen Finney Weekend Shows Get Premiere Date

MSNBC Announces Ed Schultz Premiere Date

MSNBC announced on Thursday that "The Ed Show" will return to MSNBC in May.

Last month, Schultz announced that he would take his primetime show to the weekends. Though he insisted that it was his decision, rumors swirled that the network was looking to replace him for some time. MSNBC moved Chris Hayes, who previously hosted a weekend show on the network, to the primetime spot.

The network also announced the creation of contributor Karen Finney's weekend show, which will serve as a lead-in to Schultz's program.

"The Ed Show" will return on Saturday, May 11 at 5:00 p.m. as a one-hour program. It will expand to a two-hour program over the summer. Finney's show will debut on the same date, from 4-5:00 p.m.
