Ed Schultz Addresses Rumors: 'I'm Going To Be At MSNBC For A Long Time'

Ed Schultz Addresses Rumors About His Future At MSNBC

Ed Schultz spoke out about his new time slot on MSNBC, saying that the move in no way suggests that the network is trying to push him out.

Schultz recently left his time slot at 8 p.m. on weekdays. "The Ed Show" will be moved to 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights, though the premiere date of his weekend show has yet to be announced.

"I just want all of you to know there's no conspiracy going on here now because there has not been a date given for 'The Ed Show' to relaunch," Schultz said on his radio show on Monday.

He brushed off speculation about his future at the network, saying, "I'm going to be at MSNBC for a long time. At least, that's my plan and they've told me the same thing." Schultz said that his staff was preparing for the show, and that "we'll get a date" soon.

Chris Hayes took over his primetime slot, starting Monday. Schultz has presented the change as one he volunteered for, though some reports said that MSNBC had been looking to replace him.
