Eddie Murphy and Nicole Mitchell Were One Of The Most Stylish Couples Of The '90s (PHOTO)

This Photo Is Proof That Not All '90s Fashion Was Bad

Eddie Murphy does it all -- literally. He is a stand-up comedian, an actor, a writer, a singer, a director and a musician. The man is ranked number 10 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time and his films have made him the second-highest grossing actor in the United States. While Murphy was making it big in Hollywood, he still made time for his six kids and numerous love interests.

20 years ago today (on Mar.18), Eddie Murphy wed model-designer Nicole Mitchell in the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Although they divorced 12 years later, we are still inspired by this stylish duo. In this photograph the newlyweds are seen at the premiere of "Boomerang." Murphy rocks a cobalt double-breasted blazer and a pair of sunglasses (a necessity on the red carpet), while his lovely wife does minimalism the right way in a simple white dress, silver pumps and some serious gold earrings. Although their vows may not have lasted, their sartorial sense sure has.
