Trump's Transportation Secretary Swears She Doesn't Want To 'Sue His Very Soul'

She's likely looking for a new social media manager, though.

Either Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao lost control of her Twitter account Wednesday afternoon or the White House can be pretty confident it’s found a high-level source of the seemingly never-ending leaks.

Chao’s verified account tweeted some not-so-subtle encouragement to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in reply to Waters’ message to Republicans to “get ready for impeachment.”

Chao’s tweet, which has since been deleted, read, “SUE HIS VERY SOUL MAXINE!!!”

Secretary Chao is married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

A Department of Transportation spokesperson disavowed the tweet in a statement to The Huffington Post, attributing it to a non-official person. “The tweet was posted by an employee with access to the account. The employee took action outside of his scope of work and duties and without any approvals. We are taking appropriate action.

“We regret that this transpired and have taken steps to prevent any future occurrence.”
