Elisa Kennedy, California's Longest-Serving Poll Worker, Honored By Secretary Of State (VIDEO)

WATCH: You Won't Believe How Long This Woman Has Been A Poll Worker

While some voters have trouble just getting to the polling stations (ahem), one San Franciscan has been volunteering at the polls in nearly every election for the past 75 years, making her the longest-serving poll worker in the state.

California Secretary of State Debra Bowen visited 96-year-old Elisa Kennedy at her polling station in the Outer Sunset neighborhood in San Francisco on Tuesday, and presented her with a Medallion Award from the National Association of Secretaries of State in appreciation for her service. Kennedy's work has spanned 18 presidencies and more than 120 elections.

"It's very rewarding," Kennedy told CBS.

According to ABC, Kenneddy ran a polling station out of her house in the Mission for 30 years, and then her house on 40th Avenue ever since. But, she claimed, this election has been unique.

"It's really busy," she told ABC. "The busiest I've ever seen."

"A lot has changed in politics and in the world since Elisa first volunteered as a poll worker 75 years ago, but her commitment to democracy and her devotion to her community has remained constant," wrote Bowen in a statement. "The people of San Francisco have been fortunate to have Elisa help elections run smoothly and I am so grateful to her and thousands of others who volunteer to serve as poll workers year after year."

So will Kennedy continue her service in the next presidential election? She told ABC she would like to, "but that's up to the good Lord."
