Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) had the best response to Donald Trump on Saturday when the Republican presidential nominee attacked her Senate record and taunted her for not being chosen as Hillary Clinton’s running mate.
Warren has pulled no punches in her criticisms of Trump, calling him a “racist bully” and a “small insecure money-grubber.” Trump, who has demonstrated a remarkable inability to brush off criticisms, has called Warren “Pocahontas” and said she accomplished little in the Senate (Warren has accomplished a lot).
After Clinton chose Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) as her running mate on Friday, Trump suggested Saturday morning that Warren was desperate to get on the ticket and that Clinton hated her.
Warren’s response indicated she won’t stop going after Trump anytime soon.
Warren was a contender to be Clinton’s running mate, and a Clinton confidant told The Huffington Post in May that the campaign was “thrilled” with the way her attacks had clearly gotten to Trump.
