Elle Zober Home: Scorned Ex-Wife Uses Husband's Affair to Sell Oregon House

The Crazy Way One Scorned Ex Is Getting Even

A newly single mother of two has put a unique spin on selling the suburban Oregon home she once shared with her ex-husband.

"Husband left us for a 22-year-old," the sign outside Elle Zober's Beaverton, Ore. home reads. "House for sale by scorned, slightly bitter, newly single owner."

And one more thing: "Adulterers need not apply."

According to KPTV, Zober and her husband of 10 years recently divorced after she discovered that he'd been having an affair with another woman -- a "22 year old college student who likes yoga... and, other people's husbands," according to Zober's website. The three-bedroom home is listed for $189,940.

But Zober swears that her attention-getting sales pitch was not intended for revenge; it's merely "truth in advertising." She told KPTV that she even got her ex-husband's approval before putting the sign up.

"Sure I'm angry, and every bit as sad as the sign suggests," Zober writes on her website. "But I'm also equally grateful for the life I do have and I know that the best the way to more forward for all of us is to focus on that. Hence my quirky marketing For Sale By Owner plan."

Zober isn't the first woman to get resourceful in the face of a split -- and to draw a lot of attention from the neighborhood in the process. In May, a Superior, WI woman caused a traffic jam when she held a "X-husband" sale in her front yard. The unconventional yard sale included piles of her ex-husband's stuff and a SUV with flattened tires that was painted with obscenities and the word "cheater."
