Chicago Magazine Names Top 40 Movies Filmed In Chicago (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Top Ten Movies Filmed In Chicago

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Chicago magazine has been releasing Top 40 lists of the records, restaurants and movies that epitomize Chicago. This month, they counted down the Top 40 movies ever filmed in the Windy City.

Nick Hornby's novel turned movie, "High Fidelity," took the number one slot, and we couldn't agree with Chicago mag more:

It's a rich, textured movie that--like your favorite LP--only gets better with time. It defines Chicago as a city of doers, dreamers, and slackers--a real place for real lives.

We rounded up the Top 10 below, but others in the Top 40 include "The Blues Brothers," "The Fugitive," "Sixteen Candles," "Home Alone," and many other classics. To make the cut, at least part of the film had to be shot in town--so movies about Chicago that were filmed elsewhere weren't included.

Check out the Top 10 here, and let us know what you think. For the full list, (and movie summaries) click here.
