Famed Sci-Fi Classic Hits Big Screen

The first trailer for "Ender's Game" has arrived.

Based on Orson Scott Card's 1985 novel of the same name, "Ender's Game" focuses on a post-alien invasion Earth and the lengths to which those remaining will go to ensure another attack doesn't happen. Asa Butterfield ("Hugo") stars as Ender Wiggin, a youngster who goes to Battle School and becomes mankind's last resort. Hailee Steinfeld ("True Grit"), Abigail Breslin, Viola Davis, Ben Kingsley and Harrison Ford lend Butterfield some onscreen support.

Directed by Gavin Hood ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine"), "Ender's Game" is set for release on Nov. 1 via Summit Entertainment. That studio, which is owned by Lionsgate, has had some great success with young adult adaptations in the recent past (see: "Twilight" and, for Lionsgate, "The Hunger Games"), meaning all systems are go for "Ender's Game" to earn major bucks upon release.
