Slow Cooker Pumpkin Spice Apple Cider. Enjoy all the flavors of fall with this pumpkin spice infused apple cider made using REAL apples!

Hey y'all! Pumpkin Spice Apple Cider is where it's at!! Yes. I love pumpkin spice. What's the hashtag that people are using to describe this love? Basic? Yes. It's as basic as oxygen. It's a necessity for life. I have no issues with loving things as basic as pumpkin spice, I mean just take a look at these pumpkin spice truffles. Nothing basic going on there!

So I happened to combine some pumpkin and extra spice to my apple cider. And you know what? I couldn't be happier about it!

This cider is wonderful. It's made from whole ingredients. If you want to get technical, I did actually quarter the apples. But seriously, apples, pure pumpkin, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, cloves, and a little all spice. Cook it all in the slow cooker with some water. This will make your house smell like Fall heaven. If you decide to bake some Cinnamon Blondies at the same time, I can't even imagine the amazing smells you would experience!

After the apples have cooked for a while just mash them up with a potato masher. Cook for a bit longer to really let the flavors steep. Then strain through a fine mesh strainer.

This pumpkin spice apple cider can be served warm or cold. Personally I love it cold.

And there she is!! Little Miss barely snuck into the pic below. She was vigorously stirring that jug of pumpkin apple cider throughout the photo shoot. I'm amazed that it all actually stayed in the jug. But she did sneak in that little bit. I told you before..she's always around!

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Spice Apple Cider

Prep Time: 5 Mins
Cook Time: 4 Hours
Makes: 8 Cups

Ingredients

8 cups (64 ounces) water
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup brown sugar
10 apples cut into quarters
1 nutmeg seed (or 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg)
3 cinnamon sticks (or 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon)
1 tablespoon whole cloves (or 2 teaspoons ground cloves)
1 teaspoon all spice

Instructions

In large slow cooker (at least 6 quarts) add the water, pumpkin puree, and brown sugar. Stir until well combined.
Add in the cut apples and spices.
Cook on high heat for at least 2-3 hours until the apples are softened, then mash with a potato masher. Continue cooking on high heat for another hour.
Turn the slow cooker off and allow to cool for about 15-20 minutes. Carefully spoon the cider out with a ladle and pour through a fine mesh strainer into a large jug, to catch all the mashed apple and large spices.
Store the cider in a closed container in the refrigerator. Serve cider hot or cold.
