Entourage Cast Members To Bid On Mets

Entourage Cast Members Look to Buy Stake In Major League Team

It seems the sale of the Mets has attracted some big names, including some of the genius behind HBO's hit, Entourage.

And the fit might be perfect. According to the New York Daily News, producer Doug Ellin is a part of a group of bidders that would like a stake in the team.

If the group can broker a deal for a minority stake in the team Ellin will enlist the help of stars like Kevin Connelly and Kevin Dillon, reports Yahoo News.

Connelly referred to the principals as "genius marketers," according to the Daily News. All three are long-time Mets fans, with passion for the team beyond what they've shown on the show.

"I'm a giant sports fan and to be involved in a professional sports franchise would be a dream come true," Connelly told the Daily News. "Growing up on Long Island, I was a giant Mets fan, so that makes it even more of a dream come true."
