Equality House Responds To Westboro Baptist Church Ice Bucket Challenge

Now THIS Is How You Respond To An Ice Bucket Challenge From The Westboro Baptist Church...

Yesterday, Westboro Baptist Church posted this Vine and tweeted it at the Equality House, the house painted the colors of the rainbow flag that sits across the street from the Westboro Church compound.

The Equality House is an initiative spearheaded by the organization Planting Peace that seeks to challenge the radical and homophobic rhetoric of the Westboro Baptist Church. In the past, the house, which was originally painted the colors of the rainbow flag in March 2013, has played host to a child's lemonade stand for peace, a gay wedding and a drag show -- all essentially on the anti-gay church's front lawn.

The Equality House had the following response for the members of the Westboro Baptist Church:

"Planting Peace is happy to participate in raising funds and awareness for ALS, a debilitating disease that impacts so many families around the world," President of Planting Peace Aaron Jackson said in a statement to The Huffington Post. "The ice bucket challenge has been a brilliant campaign to get people involved who may never have know what ALS was, and we love to support other non-profits in their important work."

Well done, Equality House!
