Veteran Touched By Sticker Mystery Woman Left On His Car (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Unexpected Good Deed That Made This Vet's Day

Sergeant Eric Garachko was having a bad day. But an unexpected surprise gave him a much needed boost.

Returning to his parked car, the veteran found a simple, but powerful, note attached to his car with a red, white and blue star sticker, reported WFXT News in Boston.

"Thank you for your service and sacrifice," the note read. "Sincerely, A grateful American."

Garachko's veteran license plate tipped the patriotic do-gooder off. Garachko, who served three tours in Iraq over the course of 11 years, was touched by the gesture. Forced to retire from the force early due to a traumatic brain injury sustained by an IED attack, Garachko has dealt with suicidal feelings over losing the opportunity to have a long career in the military, according to WFXT.

Touched by the stranger's kindness, Garachko immediately wanted to find out who did it and why.

"This woman deserves to be on the cover of Rolling Stone or the Globe or something," Garachko said. "Because she's a hero."
