Eric Holder Will Likely Resign Within A Year, Joe Scarborough Predicts

WATCH: Scarborough Weighs In On Holder's Chances

After his involvement in a host of controversies in recent weeks, Attorney General Eric Holder may not last another year at his post, "Morning Joe" co-host Joe Scarborough hypothesized on HuffPost Live on Thursday.

White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett told HuffPost Live earlier that same day that President Obama supports Holder and his job is not in jeopardy. But Scarborough told host Marc Lamont Hill that while the president and his advisors have to stand by Holder for now, he expects that scandals regarding the IRS, NSA and Associated Press will drive Holder away within a year.

"I think [Holder] is going to find a good opportunity to go elsewhere," Scarborough said. "In a lot of these controversies, the roads do lead back to the Justice Department, so I'd be really surprised if he held on."
