Eric Hosmer Gets Doused With BBQ Sauce By Royals After Win Over Tigers (VIDEO)

WATCH: Royals Celebrate With BBQ Sauce Bath

The Kansas City Royals have officially introduced a sweet and spicy celebration to Major League Baseball's repertoire of postgame merriment.

Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer was doused in barbecue sauce by his teammates on Wednesday following his walk-off single against the Detroit Tigers that sealed a win for Kansas City.

According to KMBC local news, Kansas City slugger Billy Butler recently brought his very own "Hit-it-a-Ton" barbecue sauce into the Royals dugout before the team embarked on a six-game winning streak. The company that bottles the product recently revealed that the players have gone so far as to call it the "rally sauce."

How lucky is it? Pitcher Jeremy Guthrie took to Twitter to show just how close he's grown to the sticky goodness.

What better way to represent the world's largest city of barbecue aficionados?
