Eric LeGrand Looks Back At The Play That Left Him Partially Paralyzed (VIDEO)

More than three years after an injury suffered during a college football game left him partially paralyzed, former Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand has become a beacon of positivity for others dealing with spinal chord injuries. LeGrand credited the "positive energy" surrounding him in the hospital with helping him cope after the the October 16, 2010 collision. The 23-year-old reflected on the fateful play that altered the course of his life during a visit to HuffPost Live on Monday.

"I got to give credit to the trainers, they got me off the field in seven minutes. I remember being on the field. I felt like I got the wind knocked out of me. I couldn't breathe," LeGrant told HuffPost Live host Marc Lamont Hill. "I thought I was going to die. Can't move. Can't breathe. I'm like, 'it's over for me.'"
