Eric Stonestreet Joins 'American Horror Story: Asylum'

Eric Stonestreet is returning to "American Horror Story."

According to TVLine, the two-time "Modern Family" Emmy winner will join the "Asylum" season of the FX series as a killer. Stonestreet appeared during the first season as a psych patient. Like most aspects of "American Horror Story: Asylum," details on his appearance are scarce except that Stonestreet's character will have a scene with Sarah Paulson's reporter, Lana.

Jessica Lange took home the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries/TV Movie for her work on "American Horror Story" Season 1. She'll be back for Season 2 as Sister Jude, the head of the insane asylum where "Asylum" takes place.

In other casting news ...

Kathryn Hahn is returning to "Parks & Recreation."
Hahn will appear in at least one episode of Season 5, but alongside Ben (Adam Scott) in DC and not in Pawnee. [TV Guide]
