Revisionist Historian was a title often given to W. Changing facts, revising the very history that we were witnessing, in order to justify his policy decisions.

Then came a new leader, an honest man, a beacon we could all look to for guidance, for justice, and for truth.

But then, he pulls a Bush on us. In describing Iran's attempt at a revolution, he says:

"We are clear now that what has been true in Egypt should be true in Iran, which is that people should be able to express their opinions and their grievances and seek a more responsive government.

What's been different is the Iranian government's response, which is to shoot people and beat people and arrest people."

Seriously, Mr. President? I mean the fact that security and pro government forces killed over 300 people slipped your mind? And (and forgive me for quoting Fox "news") these arrests never made it to your briefings?

Mr. President, please. Don't be a Bush. We really aren't that stupid.

And while we're at it, you have your people celebrating and committing to freedoms associated with the internet and pledges of support to future revolutionaries and protesters who face web access censorship by their countries on the very same day that your other people show up in a Virginian court room to try to bring down Wikileaks?

We are better than that. You are better than that.
