Evangeline Lilly: Farted On A Passenger As Flight Attendant

Evangeline Lilly Farted On Airplane Passenger

A plane crash -- on screen -- helped launch Evangeline Lilly's career to new heights, but way before "Lost" ever began, Evangeline Lilly had a pretty gnarly experience in the air.

In her pre-TV star days, Lilly served as a flight attendant for Royal Airlines, a job she once called "the worst ever."

"That job has no redeeming qualities. I didn't like the people. I didn't like the destinations," she told David Letterman back in 2007. "I didn't like the recycled air, the crappy food. "(Or) the fact that they tell you, before you start your job, to buy your shoes two sizes too big because your feet swell."

Apparently, she's still bitter about it -- or needs a bit for talk shows -- because she spoke about it again with Jay Leno on Monday night. This time, though, she had a more positive spin on it.

On one flight -- perhaps she had eaten too many of those gross boxed meals that day -- she happened to have a bad case of gas. Which is a real pain... until you have a nasty passenger to deal with.

"One time there was this guy who was really awful to me, and I was really struggling that day, because I had really bad gas. And as a flight attendant, you don't let that go when you're on a plane," she said. "So this guy got under my skin to the point that finally I decided to save it all up, and when I was walking past him and when I got to row 48... I let it rip, right in his face."

Still interested, Matthew Fox?

Lilly stars in this weekend's new robot boxing film, "Real Steel."
