Facebook Timeline: Twitter Reacts To The New Profile Upgrade (TWEETS)

Users React To Facebook's Big Changes

After Facebook announced a new profile upgrade at the Facebook f8 developers conference Thursday, users have been commenting with mixed reactions on Twitter.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the timeline, the newest version of the profile, during his keynote speech.

"We're more than what we did recently," CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during the keynote event. Timeline, he went on to say, helps the users show "the story of your life on a single page."

So how exactly will it work? Content will be organized by year and compiled into an continuous stream. To jump to a year, you will just select the year you want from a list, which will expand to display months, all along the right-hand side of your Timeline.

The Facebook founder also announced new sharing-oriented changes that will go into effect as the result of notable partnerships with the likes of Netflix and Spotify.

Twitter users had mixed reactions to the announcement, as many pointed to the usual concerns over privacy and identity theft. You can see a number of reactions (humorous and serious) below.
