Facebook Wedding: Facebook Friends Fund Terminally-Ill Groom's Wedding (VIDEO)

WATCH: Facebook Helped Fund This Dying Groom's Big Day

When terminally-ill cancer patient Tom Cooper and his long-time girlfriend Tammy Dale first got engaged, they knew they wanted to plan a big bash.

But after the 25-year-old groom's deteriorating health forced him to quit his job and Dale left her job to become his full-time caretaker, money became tight around the household.

The couple, who have two daughters together, quickly realized they wouldn't be able to afford their dream wedding, so they turned to family, friends -- and Facebook -- for help.

Cooper and Dale set up a Facebook page asking for help, complete with a YouTube video of their story.

The response was generous. Local businesses, friends, family and even strangers donated enough cash, gifts and services to throw a $30,000 ceremony for the couple, including a free wedding venue, limos, suits, photography, flowers and a cake.

The pair tied the knot on Wednesday. “It was everything I’d ever dreamed of," the bride told The Sun.
