It's possible between 15 and 20 percent of the population have symptoms of dyslexia, according to the International Dyslexia Association. These symptoms could include slow or inaccurate reading and poor spelling or writing skills. Dealing with dyslexia and other learning disorders can prove extremely difficult and frustrating, whether the individual is a child at the time of diagnosis or a grown adult. A struggle with dyslexia can lead to problems in school and low self-esteem.
