WASHINGTON -- Last Saturday night, the Washington Humane Society's 7th annual Fashion for Paws event raised nearly $700,000 combining three of D.C.'s favorite things: fashion, politicians and dogs.
The event, held at the National Building Museum, honored Congressmen Jim Moran (D-Va.) and John Campbell (R-Calif.) with the 2013 Humane Hero Award, which recognizes individuals who have displayed a passion for animal welfare.

In addition to members of Congress, news anchors and adorable, adoptable puppy models, human models each raised at least $5,000 to walk down the runway with canine counterparts.
