HuffPost Style, Ports 1961 Fashion's Night Out Event: Check Out Pictures From Our Party! (PHOTOS)

Want To See What We Did Last Night?

Fashion's Night Out is a pretty crazy, crowded affair, but on a beautiful corner of the Meatpacking District last night, HuffPost Style had its first-ever FNO event, and we did it with a few of our favorites: fashion house Ports 1961, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Parsons.

HMI, a New York-based organization dedicated to fostering creativity in a safe environment among LGBTQ youth, showcased designs by Jonovia Chase and RJ Frazer. Meanwhile, Parsons proudly put forth a six students from their first graduating MFA in Fashion Design and Society class: Sinead Lawlor, Kaoru Oshima, Noriko Kikuchi, Paula Cheng, Soojin Kang and Talia Shuvalov.

Designers, who stopped by with friends and family (and one really pretty pink bouquet), posed with their looks and ate cupcakes. If you stayed home to watch a couple of low-key televised events like a speech by someone named Barack Obama, or the MTV Video Music Awards, then fear not: we've got pictures of what you missed.

(You can read more about the designers and their looks here.)
