February is my favorite time for a getaway. It is much needed after fashion week and even if February is the shortest month of the year, it always feels like that winter month that will never end. So I was thrilled when my boyfriend and I were able to take a trip to Hawaii this week for some much needed rest and relaxation. We chose to go to Oahu where we enjoyed lazy days at the beach, incredible dinners at night, and just the right amount of island exploration to keep it interesting. I was especially excited to get to wear pieces from my new Spring 2012 collection. I can't wait for the weather in New York to warm up so I can wear them all the time! The spring trends I'm most looking forward to wearing are the little white dress, fun prints and bright pop colors like tangerine and popsicle pink and lemon.
1.) Butterfly Print Mia Dress -- This was what I wore to the taping of Live with Kelly who was broadcasting from Hawaii this week. I went to the show because my boyfriend, Gabriel Saporta and his band Cobra Starship were the musical guests that day. "The 'Mia Dress' is one of my favorite pieces from the spring collection and was named for Mia Farrow, my muse for the season. The butterfly became a key motif for the print story and this version in the silk charmeuse is such a fun print for spring. The top of the dress is solid ivory, but in this picture I layered a coral sweater on top.
2.) 3/4 Sleeve Pleated Flutter Dress -- The 'Pleated Flutter Dress' is a signature style for the ERIN collection and something I wear all the time -- it's definitely a year-round wardrobe staple for me! The silhouette is perfect for any figure and any occasion. It can easily be dressed up or down for day to evening, plus it's a great style to buy now and wear forward. I wear it in the winter with a cropped pullover sweater, tights and boots and then as it gets warmer, I like to pair it with great flats or a fun heeled sandal. Here I wore it out for a beachside dinner.
3.) Blouson Tank Dress -- I wore this for a night out in Waikiki. Gabe and I went for dinner at the Morimoto in the Modern Hotel. I love this dress because it has that extra sparkle for a special night out and the white color looked great with sun kissed skin.
4.) Dot Print A-Line Sleeveless Dress -- Here I am wearing a black a white polka dot shift dress from my spring collection. I love the small-scale polka dot; it was a perfect choice for a picnic on the beach. This dress has a shirttail hem and a slight trapeze silhouette so it has a nice amount of swing. I love this with a flat sandal or ballet flat, although I was barefoot in Hawaii most of the time!
