Fearless Living Boot Camp, Day 6 (VIDEO)

If you've ever called yourself a name or put yourself down or stopped yourself in any way, that is the ol' ring of fear that is holding your good back. Yes, your good. It's right there on the other side of fear.

The ring of fear is stopping you. And it doesn't have to.

Fear stops you from moving past your comfort zone and taking a risk.

Think about this: If you've ever called yourself a name or put yourself down or stopped yourself in any way, that is the ol' ring of fear that is holding your good back. Yes, your good. It's right there on the other side of fear.

I want you to accomplish your dreams.

I want you to feel all loved up.

I want you to believe, to the core of your being, that you are worthy of the good life, whatever that means to you.

Watch this short Fearless Living Boot Camp video now. (If you happen to have missed any of the previous Boot Camp posts or videos, no worries. You can find them all here. And you can enlist in the Boot Camp anytime -- it doesn't "expire." Even after the end of this month, the posts and videos will all be alive and well and accessible on HuffPost.)

Did you watch the video? Great! Now, here's your FEARLESS LIVING BOOT CAMP CHALLENGE, DAY 6:

It's time to put it all together!

Now let's put it all in one place.

Go ahead and make the "Stretch, Risk, Die" bull's-eye diagram as seen in the video. Put "Comfort Zone" smack dab in the middle. Next comes the Stretch circle. Then the Risk circle. The DIE zone is everything outside of that.

So:
  1. What are the five Stretches you are going to commit to actually doing within the next week?
  2. What are the five Risks you are going to use to help you get beyond your fears? (Remember, I want you to commit to taking a Risk at least once a week!)
  3. And oh my gosh: What's the Die you are going to contemplate doing during the Fearless Living Boot Camp Challenge? You have three weeks to think about tackling it....

To do today's exercise, you can pull from what you have already written down or you can add some new items. It's up to you. But get to writing and committing now. Write today's Stretches, Risks and Die(s) in the comments below, or on a piece of paper, or post them on the Social Workout Fearless Living Boot Camp homepage so your fellow Boot Campers can see them and encourage you. (They're a very encouraging bunch!)

Calculate your points:
If it's a Stretch, add 1 point to your total.
A Risk? Add 7 points to your total score.
Does making these lists feel like a Die? Give yourself 28 points. (The point system is explained more fully on Social Workout's homepage, if you're not quite sure.)

Oh: And for those of you who want to have more to-dos as soon as possible, it's time to grab some bonus points!

BONUS POINTS:
Take note today of how often fear tells you NO. It's a day of paying attention. Just notice what happens when you contemplate a Stretch, Risk or Die.

You don't have to literally write down what you notice, but it may help you to jot your feelings in the comments below, or on a piece of paper or your iPad, or -- better yet -- on the Social Workout Fearless Living Boot Camp homepage.

Jot down your answers to these questions:
  1. Was it exhausting or exhilarating for you to pay attention to fear today?
  2. How did you feel about what you noticed?
  3. What was the number-one insight you had today?
  4. Is paying attention to how fear shows up a Stretch for you? A Risk? A Die?

Be sure to give yourself credit!

Great work! Be sure to track your points each and every day over on the Social Workout homepage! Everyone loves to win! It's becoming a truly fabulous community, so get in on the courageous fun -- and get your friends and family members involved, too, so they can get inspired right along with you.
