Featured Fifty Arts: Seeking Photography/Arts Judges

Wanted: Post 50 Arts Judges For Huff/Post Board

Last month, Rita Wilson, Huff/Post50's editor at large, launched a new Featured Fifty Fiction initiative aimed at discovering the hidden writing talent among our audience. The result? An avalanche of impressive short-story submissions.

In fact, that effort was so successful that we soon plan to expand the initiative to include photography and artwork by those 50 and older. But first we want to find 10 people to serve on a Huffington Post Arts Board. Each week, you'll receive a couple of photo/art submissions. After reviewing them, you'll be asked to give us a thumbs up or a thumbs down. You will not only have the opportunity to help discover the next Georgia O'Keeffe or Ansel Adams, but you'll also have the chance to be part of a new and vibrant arts community.

We're looking for people with a keen eye and an interest in the arts who are 50 or older. Please tell us in five sentences or less why you are qualified to judge the works of others. Emails can be sent to 50arts@huffingtonpost.com and must be received by noon on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Please put "arts board" in the subject line. (Being a judge does not preclude you from having your own photo or piece of art judged by someone else on the board.)

Thanks everyone! And stay tuned as we soon will be announcing a request for your photo and art submissions.
