Throughout our unique paths of life, it is safe to say that we are all working towards something... It could be ending world hunger or working to make our future generation's lives easier than our own. In Illinois, seniors, persons with disabilities, veterans and families of low socioeconomic status are allotted the opportunity to grow their future through trainings in agriculture and canning. Across hemispheres individuals strive to achieve compassionate work and we at The Pollination Project provide seed grants to get their ideas off the ground. This week we fund seven projects that are founded in feeding hope to future generations.

Meghan Freebeck, The Academy by Simply the Basics, San Francisco, California, USA. Core life skills courses address specific challenges faced by the homeless, including healthy eating on a budget and envisioning for the future.
Heidi Litchfield, GRO Garden, Morris, Illinois, USA. Year long training programs afford community members in agricultural and canning practices as well as free food distribution.
Irue Malingo Namata Elangwe and Isabelle Mulango, Diabetes Self-Management Education in Cameroon, Kumba, Cameroon. Health care providers are trained in diabetes management to teach patients signs and symptoms before it is too late.
Marie-Claire N Kuja, KujaPads Initiative, Northwest Region, Cameroon. A woman-led enterprise manufactures low-cost, environmentally friendly sanitary pads to school-going girls.
Glend Yohanes Huliselan, Peace Awareness Campaign through Education, Tobelo, Indonesia. Youth from opposing religious backgrounds and communities engage, envision and work together to establish long-lasting, conflict-free relationships.
Ngwalem Berlyne Ngwentah, Addressing Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Needs Through Edutainment, Buea, Cameroon. Reproductive and sexual health needs of adolescents are addressed through education, mentoring and workshops.
Douglas Lugumya and Solomy Namubiru, Climate Change Mitigation for Better Livelihoods for Kitubulu Community, Entebbe, Uganda. Youth spearhead activities that address biodiversity restoration, energy efficient stoves and climate change.
