Who has been your most important female friend?

Inspired by the upcoming film Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, which celebrates the lifelong bonds between women, HuffPost Women has devoted the past month to exploring what makes female friendship so important and celebrating the women friends who've changed our lives.

So far we've featured Snow Flower co-producers Wendi Murdoch and Florence Sloan talking about their friendship, and several other pairs of remarkable women opening up about what their bond has meant to them. Yesterday, Arianna Huffington wrote about the "tribe" of friends who have been her confidants and advisers over the years.

Now we want to hear about the woman who has supported you most. Maybe you've been friends since childhood, or maybe you met just a few years ago, perhaps in the most unlikely of situations. If a particular friend has made all the difference for you, we want to help you celebrate her.
