Black Simon & Garfunkel returned to “The Tonight Show” Thursday to harmonize on the Black Eyed Peas’ “My Humps.”

It was a hoot just to see the Roots’ “Captain” Kirk Douglas and Questlove going coffee-house style on the opening lines. But when a beret-wearing Fergie joined them for the song that she helped make famous, it became faux-folk history.
