I would like to say a warm and heartfelt ‘hello’ to the Huffington Post readers. It is so refreshing to be able to have a platform to write about the things I love and cherish. Writing is definitely a passion of mine’s, as I find it very therapeutic to see everything down in black and white.
2014 was a life changing year for me and I met some amazing people along the way. After living in Italy for 4 years, I decided to up root and move to Abu Dhabi (what a rush that was, I tell you). I’ve heard so many times that people are put into your path- exactly at the right time. I met a girl who is probably one of the nicest and most sincerest people I have ever had the pleasure in meeting. She is the kind of girl who would help a complete stranger with loving and open arms.
Everything this girl desires materialises for her. The law of attraction guarantees that if you put the work in, you will get the results. Which has definitely worked for her.
I am amazed and in aw of her new and upcoming design line Kabs Boutique. This girl and my soul sister - Fida Kablawi has taken America and Canada by storm.
Born January 18, 1981, living in London, Ontario, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Western University. Fida was influenced from a young age by some fashion forward women with design skills in her family. Fida’s grandmother was known in the community for her beading work and her mother, very much like Fida, started her career as a tailor at a very young age. Designing her first gown at the age of 9, Fida knew that clothing design was her calling.

Realising that everyone goes through a personal journey at some point in their life. Fida wanted to tell her story through the art of design. The concept for Kabs Boutique came to life after a personal journey of self discovery. Each piece of this line is meant to represent your past and present journey in life and how they will always remain linked together.
This piece looks like it just came out of a fairytale. Truly stunning.
Fida’s designs symbolise how we should leave the past behind. Her unique range which concentrates more on it’s detail on the back is a representation of this, and how we should focus on moving forward. The pieces are empowering, original and timeless.
Fida will be fulfilling her lifelong dream this fall of 2016 by launching her online store and inviting everyone to express their individuality and their journery through one of her designs.
