Ana Steele's new rival has a face.
According to Entertainment Weekly, "Fifty Shades Darker" has cast actor Kim Basinger as Elena Lincoln, a business partner and former flame of Christian Grey introduced in the second installment of E.L. James' book series. Basinger is known for her work in "L.A Confidential" and "8 Mile," among other projects.
Back in April of last year, Universal's Donna Langley teased that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, directed by James Foley, will be "more of a thriller" than the first film, meaning Basinger's character could have a real fun, sinister vibe. Honestly, just the "L" alliteration in Elena Lincoln sounds intimidating.
You can check out a little teaser for the upcoming film and see just how scared you feel.
"Fifty Shades Darker" hits theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
