'Fight Stigma' Web Shorts Lampoon Stigma Surrounding Mental and Behavioral Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States, and to celebrate, my team at Trillium Family Services -- Oregon's largest provider of mental and behavioral health care for children and families (where I serve as chief communications officer) -- has released the first four episodes in a new series of Web shorts designed to highlight the ridiculousness of stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health.

Starring local Portland actress and comedian JoAnn Schinderl (who first caught my attention when she opened for Lena Dunham on her Not That Kind Of Girl book tour), each episode of the "Fight Stigma" Web series asks the question: "What if we treated physical illness like mental illness?"
