A cellphone video taken Saturday shows the incredible rescue of a man and his two children after their truck flipped in floodwaters in Texas.

Witnesses to the incident in Myrtle Springs are seen feverishly working to pry open the vehicle’s doors as waist-deep water rushes around them and lightning flashes.

“I’ve got a baby! Call 911!” one man hollers just before he’s seen holding a limp infant in his arms.

Tom Mitchell, who said he filmed the rescue on his phone after finding himself without enough physical strength to help, told local news channel WFAA that the baby was “white, going bluish gray.”

“No color at all and the eyes were not focused when I looked down at her,” he said.

Mitchell said he began performing CPR on the baby as a woman cried out prayers.

“In the name of Jesus, let him breathe, Lord. Let him breathe, Lord!” she’s heard saying in the video. “In the name of Jesus, give him breath!”

“I felt a response in that child” after that first prayer, Mitchell said. He said the good Samaritans then turned their attention to a toddler who was also pulled from the vehicle. They were able to revive her.

In a Facebook post on Sunday morning, a man identified as the children’s father said his infant son is in excellent condition and “full of life.” The older child, his daughter, continues to recover at a hospital.

”I can’t thank you all enough who came into the water and saved my children your (sic) a blessing thank you all so much,” he posted.

He said the accident happened after he hydroplaned off the highway while trying to escape the severe weather, which has killed at least 10 people.
