Financially Irresponsible TV Characters We Idolize Anyway

A particularly instructive storyline on Season 2 of "Friends" sees a characteristically naive Joey land a high-profile role on a soap opera that he's certain will make him a star. Joey promptly moves into a swanky new apartment and goes on a shopping spree only to see his character written off the show a few episodes later.

Mo money, mo problems, as they say.

So here's to the television characters whose fiscal cluelessness never fails to make us feel better about our own financials — may our real-life credit scores always be superior, and may we love you all the more for it.
