Fisher-Price Recalls 3 Models Of Infant Cradle Swings

The company has been informed of two incidents where a peg came out from the seat, prompting it to fall.

On April 14, the federal agency announced that three models of the swings have been recalled: CHM84 Soothing Savanna Cradle 'n Swing, CMR40 Sweet Surroundings Cradle 'n Swing and CMR43 Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Cradle 'n Swing. Fisher-Price has been informed of two incidents where a seat peg came out from the seat. As the CPSC notes in the recall information, "when the seat peg is not fully engaged the seat can fall unexpectedly, posing a risk of injury to the child."

The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the product and offered contact information for Fisher-Price so they can receive revised assembly instructions. To determine whether their swing is included in the recall, consumers can find the product number under the pad on the seat.
