Last week, the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace contacted thousands of people whose health care applications are incomplete, require more documentation or simply have been found to have inconsistencies in the information submitted. Although most people who received these notices over the last few months have already been able to resolve issues with their applications, there are still some who have not responded. This puts these people at risk of losing their health benefits.

It is important to remember that receiving a notice from the Marketplace doesn't automatically mean that there is a problem with your application. The letter is simply a reminder that they need to verify some of the information you included in your application (such as the fact that you are a citizen or your immigrant status.) The most important thing to remember -- DO NOT IGNORE IT!
