I asked several of my friends what they would want if they were given 5 wishes. Of course, everyone would want to win the lottery so outside of that, I got some pretty interesting answers. Here are some of the more popular answers I received along with my own personal commentary (of course!). I highlighted my favorites:
- Infinite wishes – Okay, this was on everyone’s list (including mine)
- Good health – It’s funny because while this was the #1 answer, NO ONE actually wished for a LONGER life just a healthier one. I would think that it would be nice to have both
- Unmatched intelligence – Okay, so you get smarter but won’t that mean fewer people to have intelligent conversation with?
- Stronger connection with my faith – Couldn’t you do this without using up a wish?
- Love what I do professionally – But if you won the lottery, would you still have a profession?
- Fall in love with my dream mate – I think I would rather him fall in love with me
- Give back to others on a larger scale & positively impact the lives of many – This makes sense
- Change my upbringing/background – That’s pretty deep
- Eternal happiness – Hopefully not just for yourself but for others as well
- Constant evolution & self-awareness – This should be happening regardless of how many wishes a person has
- Tons of healthy & happy friends and family / Loved ones to be happy, healthy & prosperous – I’ll toast to this one!
- Travel the world – This wish should be on everybody’s list
- World peace – Isn’t the world coming to an end anyway?
- Perfect body – Just like beauty, a “perfect body” is in the eye of the beholder. So why not just wish that whoever I marry love the body that I already have?
- Excel at work – Again, if you have all the money in the world, working wouldn’t be necessary
- Wisdom – True that!
- Make other people love Jesus – AMEN! Even though God gave us free will, this is a great wish for everyone
- One more day with a loved one – Yes, this would be a blessing
- Marriage/Kids/Family – AMEN to this one too!
- Superman’s powers – Okay, if you want to fly, have x-ray vision and superhuman strength, then you will be forced to save the world at all times
- Go back in time to meet Jesus – Whether you go back in time or fast forward time, we’ll all be meeting him one way or another (ha!)
- See and do crazy things like meet a dodo bird or see the polar caps before they melt
- End of all diseases – I have afeeling that if there weren’t any more diseases, there would definitely be even more pregnancies (lol)
- Free world access – Who honestly still wants to visit North Korea?
- Loved by all – If you win the lottery, you will be loved by all!

What are my 5 wishes? I’m glad you asked! Here are they are:
- Be able to play any instrument – I could entertain anyone, anytime, anywhere. Who wouldn’t want to learn how to play the zither?!
- Be one of the most beautiful woman in the world – Vain, yes I know
- Learn every foreign language – It was pointed out to me that I should wish that everyone else learn to speak English instead but it would still be fun to know some other languages
- Change people’s thoughts for good and not for evil – I don’t want to be a mind reader though cuz that’d be too creepy
- Infinite wishes – Why stop at 5?!
