Florida Primary 2012: Live Election Day Updates

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is feeling the momentum going into Florida's primary election.

The latest polls show Romney running ahead of rival candidate Newt Gingrich by a comfortable margin.

HuffPost's Mark Blumenthal reports:

Six new polls released late Sunday or Monday found that Mitt Romney's lead over Newt Gingrich ranges from five to 20 percentage points.

Voter uncertainty, a hallmark of the Republican primary campaign for months, remains a potential factor in the outcome of the Florida contest.

Gingrich placed first in South Carolina's primary election less than two weeks ago. Romney emerged victorious in New Hampshire's primary earlier this month.

Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, who won the 2012 Iowa caucus, are already looking beyond Florida to upcoming votes in other states.
