Just like the Thai cuisine he's famous for, Chef Kris Yenbamroong lacks no flavor. Both of his restaurants are wildly vibrant, his menus are always bold, and he met his now-wife on a night out with friends that ended in a bar fight. Though his dishes stand alone without the help of other ingredients, it's his wife, Sarah St. Lifer who provides him with a sense of balance.
According to Yenbamroong, "We're coming from completely different places, but you don't want to be with another you. Sarah has helped me to focus, she's brought structure and a sense of aesthetics to our life."
That applies to both of their award winning LA restaurants, Night + Market and Night + Market Song, as well as the place that they call home.
With their hands full planning their recent wedding, writing a cookbook, and opening up yet another restaurant, they needed an organized space to get all of their work done. So they called on the online interior designers at Laurel & Wolf.
"With the craziness of running a restaurant, it's really nice for us to be able to come home and decompress. With our new office, we're still going to be doing work at home, but it's going to be better work. It's a clean slate," St. Lifer says.
