Blakk has made quite a splash since releasing “Love Me” only one month ago. “Love Me” has surpassed 300,000 views on YouTube and is inching over 300,000 spins on Spotify. Additionally, Amazon made him their Weekly One artist, generating over 500k plays in one week alone. It’s no surprise that Blakk is bringing fans something refreshing to the table to garner their interest, a new genre he dubs ‘urban folk’ – a mixture between the tranquility of folk music found in the countryside and the explosiveness of a city that never sleeps.
“Where I First Found You” dropped this past Friday and is quickly following suit. The track has over 20,000 spins on Spotify and was featured on their New Music FridayGlobal chart. By the way, if you listen closely, you’ll also hear UK superstar Gavin James on background vocals.
