A number of deafblind people took part in the International Disability Alliance's Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The possibilities for greater inclusion of people with deafblindness, along with other disabilities, are growing as more governments recognize their rights, as technology develops, and as we shift the way we see disability: not as someone's physical or mental impairment, but as the result of our environment - an environment that we can all work together to make more accessible and more inclusive.
