Fox Not Producing Hillary Clinton Miniseries: Hollywood Reporter

Fox Reportedly Not Producing Hillary Clinton Miniseries

Fox Television Studios is reportedly not going forward with a Hillary Clinton miniseries, according to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday.

NBC has been planning a four-hour miniseries starring Diane Lane as the former secretary of state. The network was in early talks with Fox to produce and distribute the film. The project has rankled Republicans so much that RNC chairman Reince Priebus threatened to boycott NBC News during the 2016 debates if the NBC went through with its plan.

On Friday, the RNC voted to ban NBC News -- along with CNN, which is planning a documentary about Clinton -- from hosting Republican primary debates in the upcoming election.

A source at Fox told THR that the talks did not end due to Republican party's response to the project, but that the two parties could not come to an agreement for a potential deal.
