Hillary Clinton Grants Exit Interviews To Cable And Broadcast Networks

Fox News' Greta Van Susteren nabbed an interview with outgoing Sec. of State Hillary Clinton (see update below).

According to TVNewser, who was first to report the news, this will be Clinton's first solo interview appearance since the inauguration. The announcement comes days after The New Republic released an interview with Barack Obama, in which the president criticized Fox News.

Clinton was harshly criticized by some Fox News personalities recently, when the secretary of state fell and suffered from a concussion, leaving her unable to testify before congressional hearings on Benghazi. When Van Susteren appeared on ABC's Sunday public affairs show "This Week," host George Stephanopoulos asked Van Susteren about the attacks from some of her colleagues.

"I don't get behind any—I'm responsible for what I say, number one," Van Susteren said. "Not for one second did I doubt [she was ill]. Once these people heard she was seriously ill, that all changed."

After she was released from the hospital, Clinton testified before congressional hearings on Benghazi.

UPDATE: Monday, 11:50 p.m. -- Clinton will also give interviews to CNN, NBC and ABC this week. NBC's Andrea Mitchell and ABC's Cynthia McFadden will interview the secretary of state for their respective networks.
